And this Carbon Dioxide is the gas that human beings give out when we breathe. Carbon Dioxide when associated with power plants and fossil fuels will be considered harmful. What causes the increase in level of Carbon Dioxide on the atmosphere is when people burn fuels such as when they drive cars and travel by plane. Carbon Dioxide emission on the atmosphere is also caused by the burning of coal, oil and other natural gases. To prevent global warming, you can help by decreasing how often you drive. Less driving means less carbon dioxide emission from your car. By traveling less will also help lessen the emission of carbon dioxide in the air.

Get a car service on a regular basis. This will increase your fuel efficiency which eventually decreases your green house gas emissions. New car models are eco-friendly. They promote the use of biodiesel and others are hydrogen powered.

Prevention is Key

Wash your hands thoroughly and often. It’s the best way to prevent infectious diseases. You can’t overemphasize this simple reminder. By frequently washing your hands, you wash away germs that you have picked from other people, or from contaminated surfaces, animals and waste. One of the most common ways people catch colds is by rubbing their nose or eyes after their hands have been contaminated with the cold virus. Before you know it, everyone around you is getting sick.

The important thing to remember is that in addition to colds, some serious diseases, like hepatitis A, meningitis, infectious diarrhea and SARS, can be prevented of we make a habit of washing hands.

When should you wash your hands? Before, during and after you prepare food, before and after you eat; after you use the bathroom; after handling animals or their waste; when your hands are dirty; and more frequently if some one in your home is sick.
